EPSA 2011 CONTEST: STILL ONE MONTH TO GO

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS OPEN UNTIL 25 MARCH 2011
                                          (12:00 pm GMT)

DON’T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO APPLY FOR THE EPSA 2011 BY SUBMITTING INNOVATIVE AND SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES!

The European Public Sector Award 2011 scheme was launched on 17 January 2011 when the call for applications was opened. More than one month has passed since the opening and during this period various communication and information actions were taken by the EPSA Team and also by national, regional and local authorities across Europe. Dissemination also took place within the European Commission, among others through DG Employment-ESF, DG Enlargement and DG Enterprise.

As a result, a number of EPSA 2011 Info Sessions organised by several countries at national and/or regional level have been taking place since January 17.

The first InfoDay was organised by Austria on 3 February 2011 at the Austrian Federal Chancellery in Vienna. Then the Belgian Region of Flanders organised an InfoDay in Brussels on 7 February. The Hungarian public administration held an InfoDay at the Hungarian National Institute of Public Administration in Budapest on 10 February. EPSA was also promoted in Trondheim (Norway) in the framework of a meeting with local authorities on 11 February. Another InfoDay was organised by Romania on 17 February in Bucharest at the National Civil Servants Agency of the Ministry of Administration and Interior. The Spanish region of Catalonia held its EPSA InfoDay on 22 February in Barcelona and the Spanish central public administration held an InfoDay at the Spanish Institute of Public Administration (INAP) on 24 February. All these sessions allowed the EPSA team to personally explain the conditions for participation to more than 350 persons in total, which raised a lot of interest among the participants. In addition, several national, regional and local public administrations in Europe also supported the dissemination of EPSA 2011 through several channels such as their websites and newsletters.

So, by now, thousands of well-targeted persons and administrations in Europe know about EPSA 2011 and have no excuse for not taking part in this “one and only European contest”.

It should be stressed that all these information sessions were organised on own initiative of the above-mentioned countries and also with participation of the EPSA Manager, Alexander Heichlinger. Generally speaking, the persons who attended these sessions were very much and directly interested in submitting an application.

There is still one month left to apply since the deadline is 25 March.

The sooner you register and submit your project(s) the better. Make sure that you are among the happy few and submit your applications as soon as possible. You will then belong to the select club of the most innovative and best performing administrations in Europe.

We would also like to remind those who have already registered but not completed the application form to do so as soon as possible! (online at www.epsa2011.eu)
